Acceptance
By accessing or using Vane's API, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Vane on behalf of a company, you represent that you have authority to bind that company.
Description of Service
Vane provides cryptographic identity infrastructure for AI agents, including Agent Passport issuance, attestation logging, and verification APIs. Service is provided as-is under the terms of your selected plan.
Account Registration
You must provide accurate information when registering. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately at security@vane.build of any unauthorized access.
Acceptable Use
You may not:
- Use the service to facilitate illegal activity.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, circumvent, or abuse the cryptographic infrastructure.
- Resell or sublicense API access without written permission.
- Use the service in a way that violates third-party rights.
API Usage and Rate Limits
Each plan includes a monthly attestation limit. Usage above your plan limit will be billed at overage rates or result in throttling, depending on your plan. Vane reserves the right to suspend accounts that abuse rate limits.
Payment Terms
Paid plans are billed monthly in advance via Stripe. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law. We will notify you 30 days in advance of any price changes.
Data Ownership
You own all data you submit to the Vane API. Vane claims no ownership over your attestation records, agent configurations, or credential data. You grant Vane a limited license to process this data solely to provide the service.
Intellectual Property
The Vane platform, API, and documentation are owned by Vane and licensed, not sold. The Vane SDK packages are licensed under AGPL-3.0.
Service Availability
Vane targets 99.9% monthly uptime for the API. Planned maintenance will be announced at status.vane.build with at least 24 hours notice. Unplanned outages will be communicated via the same channel.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Vane's liability for any claim arising under these Terms is limited to the fees you paid in the 3 months preceding the claim. Vane is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Vane harmless from claims arising from your use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
Termination
Either party may terminate at any time. Upon termination, your access is revoked immediately. We will retain your data for 90 days to allow export, then permanently delete it.
Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the United States. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Puerto Rico.
Changes to Terms
We will notify you by email of material changes at least 30 days in advance. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
